By sea
Schinousa is connected by ferry boat to the harbour of Piraeus. In the summer months connections are daily. The journey lasts about 7-9 hours but since the trip includes stops at Paros, Naxos and Heraklea, the duration lengthens. You can also get to the island with the local Cycladic line from Syros. There is a daily direct line from Naxos to Schinousa (about 1hr), from Amorgos and Koufonisia, Donousa and Io. The routes to and from Naxos, Amorgos and the small Cyclades are done with the famed ferry boat -for those that travel these islands- "Skopelitis".
